Continuing
in Mark's Gospel the 10th chapter, our lesson this week is entitled "What's in it for me?" In a society
where placing yourself first and self interests run high on the priority scale, it's easy to miss the whole
purpose of the kingdom of God. Jesus had to address this kind of thinking even among his own disciples. The desire
for power, fame and fortune for self-fulfillment present within our old nature, always causes us to misunderstand
Jesus and His teaching on kingdom authority. This understanding requires the type of grace that only comes
from walking in the power of God's written word.
Friday
July 30th 8:00pm Rock House of Prayer
The Word of God tells us that at the dedication of both the Tabernacle of Moses
and Solomon's Temple God displayed His Glory. When the people and the priests along with the musicians and singers lifted
up their voices to praise God in unison His presence filled those sanctuaries! His presence has filled the sanctuary many
times during the Rock House of Prayer, and it was glorious!
